Patient Lifts

Patient Lifts are designed to make transferring as simple and safe as possible. They utilize a hydraulic pump or electric battery powered motor to lift one safely from one area to another, such as from a bed to a wheelchair. Lifts come in a variety of styles to accommodate a person’s specific needs. Lifts are used in conjunction with a sling, which come in a variety of sizes and types. Lifts are typically used in conjunction with a therapist or caregiver in either the home or facility setting.

Standard Power Lifts

Power Patient Lifts utilize an electric motor powered by battery to safely lift a patient. They are utilized by patients who cannot weight bear.

Standing Lifts

Sit to Stand Lifts, or Standing Lifts, are used by patients who can still weight bear but require assistance standing up. These lifts utilise a sling that typically wraps under the arms and around the back and lifts the patient from a sitting position.

Portable Ceiling Lifts

A recent innovation in lifting technology is in overhead ceiling track lifts. Now these lifts can be placed in one’s home or in a facility by being permanently fixed to a ceiling or temporarily installed using tension (without any screws or hardware). These lifts offer versatility and are often safer to use without having to worry about transferring on difficult surfaces such as carpet.
